- 1x RJ45 10/100BaseT PoE
- 1x power supply 24-48V on screw terminal
Capabilities:
Modbus TCP is a popular open communications standard in automation technology. Modbus TCP allows Web-IOs to be simply integrated into existing equipment.
In box-to-box coupling of two Web-IOs the outputs on the one side follow the inputs on the other. This allows switching signals to be carried along over the existing network.
OPC stands for OLE for Process Control and is a standardized software interface through which visualization and control systems can poll and visualize the signals from Web-IOs.
ERP stands for Enterprise Resource Planning and describes systems for automated production control. Web-IOs can obtain the required data and send it over various software interfaces.
SNMP stands for Simple Network Management Protocol and enables centralized monitoring and maintenance of networks. The Web-IO can provide data from non-SNMP capable components to such systems.
Syslog is a protocol for directing system and error messages. The Web-IO can also transmit switching states via Syslog.
FTP stands for File Transfer Protocol and is the most commonly used standard for sending large quantities of data. The Web-IO can write switching states to a file along with a timestamp using FTP.
SQL, MySQL and SQlite are the most common databases. Using Sensobase software or the WuT Motherbox, the status of Web-IOs can be directly written to such databases.
CSV is a simple file standard for tabular data representation. The Web-IO can save its status conditions via FTP directly in CSV format. Standard programs such as MS Excel or OpenOffice can open these files.
iCal is a file format for calendar data and is offered by programs such as Outlook or Sunbird. The Web-IO can perform switching operations at particular times according to the specifications of the iCal files.
Google™ Calendar is a service for schedule management offered by Google™. The Web-IO can import events online from Google™ Calendar.
Email is the most popular communication form after the telephone. The Web-IO can send email messages when there is a change in switching states.
The browser is used for displaying Web pages. The Web-IO’s own server enables display of switching states directly in the browser with no need for additional software.
HTTP stands for Hypertext Transfer Protocol and is also used by the Web-IO for sending Web pages.
AJAX stands for Asynchronous JavaScript and XML and is a programming technology for allowing content of Web pages to be dynamically modified. The Web-IO can use this to display changing switching states in the browser.
PHP is a programming language for server-side scripts. PHP scripts can be incorporated into a Web page or work as a freestanding script. With PHP scripts you can for example display the states of multiple Web-IOs on one Web page.
JavaScript is a programming language for keeping Web sites flexible and displaying them condition-based. With the help of JavaScript the switching states of the Web-IO can be displayed as needed.
C in all its permutations is the most commonly used programming language for application software. Using simple socket commands the inputs and counters of the Web-IO can be read and set with C.
Visual Basic is a simple programming language for Windows application software. Using simple socket commands the inputs and counters of the Web-IO can be read and set with Visual Basic.
Java is a system-neutral programming language for application software. Using simple socket commands the inputs and counters of the Web-IO can be read and set using Java.
Using simple socket commands the inputs and counters of the Web-IO can be read and set from virtually any programming language.
Application possibilities:
Typical applications include: Remote monitoring, automation, building technology and building visualization, process monitoring, barrier control, door and gate control, photoelectric light barrier monitoring, machine data collection, customer counting, fault indicators and much more.
A detailed description of the capabilities and application possibilities can be found here.
