Many areas of automation technology, building technology and home applications require digital signals to be sent over large distances. With the Web-IO Digital boxes it is possible to carry switching signals from switches, sensors or relays over the existing network infrastructure across locations.
Function 2 Web-IO Digital devices are required for a Box-to-Box application. One box takes on the function of the B2B master and the second operates as a B2B slave. Digital signals can be sent in both directions.
A TCP/IP-Ethernet connection is needed at both locations (available port on a switch or hub).
Both potential-free contacts as well as current sourcing signals can be connected as a signal source. Depending on the Web-IO® model the outputs are configured as current sourcing or as a potential-free relay contact.
Changes on an input of Web-IO A also result in a corresponding change on the output of Web-IO B and vice-versa.
You don’t have a Web-IO® yet but would like to try the example out sometime?
No problem: We will be glad to send you the Web-IO Digital 2xInput, 2xOutput at no charge for 30 days. Simply fill out a sample ordering form, and we will ship the Web-IO for testing on an open invoice. If you return the unit within 30 days, we will simply mark the invoice as paid.
Once these steps are completed, the Box-to-Box segment is ready to use.
The examples show the configuration of a Web-IO Digital 2xInput, 2xOutput. Of course all other Web-IO Digital models can also be configured for Box-to-Box mode. A combination of the various models is also possible.
