Com-Server plug-in module
Com-Server Highspeed OEM
Dimensions 71 x 96 mm Product properties:
Network connection to TCP/IP Ethernet:
Serial connection to embedded system:
Serial bit rate up to 230.4 kbit/s
Serial TTL level
optional RS232, RS485, RS422
Remotely configurable via Web Based Management
All signals to header connectors
Customized board formats
Suitable RS232, RS485, RS422 modules available
Dimensions: 71 x 96 mm (or customer-specific format)
Full control on all properties of the module, including network addressing both from the network and the embedded side.
Behavior of the plug-in modules identical with that of other W&T Com-Servers. Existing equipment that doesn’t allow for built-in modules can thus be easily upgraded with a network connection.
Conforms to standards both in office and industrial environments:
Increased noise immunity for industrial areas
Stricter noise emission for residential and commercial areas
Options for software integration: The options for integration range from simple COM port redirection to user-friendly drag&drop programming in Visual Basic style on the PC side. More advanced options allow for the full integration of the end user. All the while it is never necessary to program within the module, as it is fully equipped with all you need, while still flexible and controllable according to your requirements. You therefore maintain full control over the properties of your hardware. Network and web access is now achievable with a minimum investment of time and money. Make our advantage yours! COM Port Redirector The W&T COM Port Redirector for Windows 9x/NT/2000/XP/2003 also gives serially operating Windows programs the ability to communicate over the network. Virtual COM ports are installed on the system which behave like standard COM ports with respect to the applications. Communication with the terminal device is now however over the network and a Com-Server ( data sheet with download link).
