Background information: The W&T RS232 intelligent T-switch is and extremely versatile device. Nearly all uni-directional and bi-directional 2:1 couplings of RS232 devices can be implemented with this switch. The adapter is equipped with 3 interfaces that are freely and individually configurable: 1 master interface and 2 slave interfaces that are able to communicate with each other. The switch has 4 data channels (master <> slave A, master <> slave B) with a 32-kByte buffer in each direction and can be equipped with programmable code conversions. The switching between channels is time-controlled or by means of programmable control sequences at the master interface.
