Press release December 2025

USB Server Gigabit -
USB 3.0 for industrial environments

With the USB Server Gigabit - 2x USB 3.0, Wiesemann & Theis is taking its successful and versatile product family into the next generation. The device combines proven functionality with the latest technology and supports the requirements of modern virtualization and network environments.

When USB devices such as cameras, high-speed hard drives, barcode scanners, or dongles need to be operated over long distances or made available to multiple users in a network, traditional USB cabling and virtualization connections often reach their limits: The maximum cable length for USB 3.0 is limited, and virtualization solutions often offer only limited or unstable USB support.

High-performance connection of USB devices via Gigabit Ethernet

With the new USB Server Gigabit - 2x USB 3.0, W&T is addressing precisely this issue and expanding its product family with a powerful solution for connecting USB devices to the network. Two USB 3.0 ports and a Gigabit Ethernet interface enable high-performance, transparent integration of devices into industrial, Office or virtualization environments—with full transfer speed and stable communication via TCP/IP.

The USB Server Gigabit - 2x USB 3.0 is already available; detailed information can be found at www.wut.de/53661.
