USB Server Gigabit - 2x USB 3.0
The USB Server Gigabit - 2x USB 3.0 allows you to seamlessly integrate USB devices into Ethernet-based networks. The server creates a reliable connection between the USB and IP worlds, which is ideal for industrial applications and IT infrastructures.
Operate USB devices via network
The W&T USB Redirector software / USB Redirector allows you to integrate connected devices into Windows or Linux systems as locally available USB ports. This enables straightforward integration into existing applications without the need for drivers or software adjustments. Communication takes place via TCP/IP. This allows USB devices to be used across any distance, whether in the same room, in the production hall, in the data center, or even in the home office.
High performance thanks to USB 3.0 and Gigabit Ethernet
The USB Server Gigabit - 2x USB 3.0 supports the fast USB 3.0 standard (SuperSpeed, 5 Gbit/s) and connects up to two USB devices via Gigabit Ethernet (100/1000BaseT). This ensures low latency and high transfer rates, creating a clear advantage for data-intensive applications such as industrial cameras, storage media, and measuring systems. Thanks to USB backward compatibility, older USB 2.0 and USB 1.1 devices can also be used without any problems.
Flexibility and safety in industrial environments
The USB server can be operated with 24V to 48V DC or via Power over Ethernet (PoE)—ideal for use in control cabinets, laboratory environments, or test benches. Galvanic isolation of the PC and USB device via the network prevents ground loops and protects sensitive electronics from interference. Rugged industrial quality and long-term availability make the device a reliable component in professional applications.
Advantages of the USB Server Gigabit: 2x USB 3.0
For fast, stable transfers with data-intensive devices such as cameras, scanners, or mass storage devices.
Access remote USB devices as if they were connected locally to your PC.
Multiple users or virtual machines can share access to the same USB port.
Operates on 24-48 V DC or Power over Ethernet (PoE), ideal for industrial environments and control cabinets.
Network connection replaces direct USB cable and protects devices from potential differences and ground loops.
No driver adjustments necessary: USB redirection integrates devices directly into Windows or Linux environments.
Rugged design and long-term product support for professional use.
Centrally manage and share USB devices
With the W&T USB Server Gigabit - 2x USB 3.0, multiple users on the network can access the same USB devices. This reduces hardware requirements and enables centralized management of critical resources such as license dongles or laboratory equipment. It can also be used in virtual environments (e.g. VMware®, Hyper-V®) is easily possible, and real USB devices are transparently available to virtual machines.
