The USB servers and USB-Buddy from Wiesemann & Theis enable the reliable integration of any USB device into industrial, private, and public networks. They extend local, short-range USB connections to the full range of the network, thereby allowing access to USB hardware from any location. This allows you to centrally provide USB devices and use them over the local network or even from virtual machines—without the need for physical proximity between the PC and the device.

    Using a USB device server or the USB-Buddy, you can access USB devices such as scanners, cameras, dongles, or printers via TCP/IP. Once the USB device connected to the USB server or the Buddy has been integrated, it works exactly as if it were connected directly to the computer. The W&T USB Redirector supports both Windows and Linux systems and allows access from both physical and virtual machines. This makes integration into existing IT infrastructures particularly easy and secure.
