Application for Ethernet Switch Industry, 4-port:
Connect Ethernet devices in the control cabinet
and if needed also power them at the same time
Operation using external power
- Standard Industry Switch for 24V power
The switch is powered through the green terminal on the underside with 24V - 48V external. The terminal devidces connected to ports 1 - 3 are self-powered without PoE
- Switch as PoE injector
The switch is powered through the green terminal on the underside with 48V external. Connected to ports 1 - 3 are PoE powered Class 1 devices.
No external power supply is needed for the connected terminal devices.
- Switch in mixed operation
The switch is powered through the green terminal on the underside with 48V external. Both self- and PoE-powered devices can be operated on the switch The orange terminal can be used for providing 24V power to connected devices.
Operating using PoE power
- PoE switch with PoE terminal devices
The switch is linked through Port 4 to a PoE-PSE-capable switch. PoE-powered Class 1 devices are connected to Ports 1 - 3.
An external power supply is not necessary either for the switch nor for the connected terminal devices.
- PoE switch as PoE splitter
The switch is linked through Port 4 to a PoE-PSE-capable switch. The terminal devices connected to Ports 1 - 3 are powered with 24V through the orange terminal on the underside.
- PoE switch in mixed operation
The switch is linked through Port 4 to a PoE-PSE-capable switch. Both self- and PoE-powered devices can be operated on the switch. The orange terminal can be used for providing 24V to connected devices.
Mirror port
- Record network traffic
DIL switches 1 - 3 are used to select which port should operate as the mirror port (It is not possible to operate multiple ports as the mirror port). The entire network traffic passing through the switch is output on the mirror port. Since the mirror port has a read-only function, the PC connected to this port cannot access the network for normal operation.
