Door and gate control for browser and smart phone

The use of network cameras for monitoring entrances and driveways has the advantage that the camera images can be viewed from any desk in the building and even remotely on a smartphone. The ability to open doors and gates is limited with most systems to a particular location - for example the doorman.

Some camera makers are now integrating switching contacts into their devices. But to have a good view of the door or gate, in most cases the camera is mounted a good distance away and outdoors. This makes using the integrated switching contacts more difficult and makes the cameras susceptible to manipulation.

Web-IO Digital technology offers the ideal addition - even for existing monitoring systems.

From a switching point of view a Web-IO Box is mounted exactly where the switching signal is needed, on the door or gate. The physical connection to the system is made over the network.

From the application point of view the camera image is simply sent to the web page of the Web-IO Digital. This makes monitoring and control of a door or gate possible in the same browser window.

The W&T Motherbox even allows multiple entries and access drives to be monitored on a common web page.

Another plus of the Web-IO technology is the ability to perform switching operations on a timed basis, i.e. to automatically keep doors and gates open at certain times.

If there is WLAN access, the example shown functions on all iPod Touch and iPad models!

You don’t have a Web-IO yet but would like to try the example out sometime?
